In 1960, Honda USA sales manager Jack McCormick noticed that a dealership in Blaise, Idaho sold a lot more Honda 50’s than there were sold in other places. It quickly became apparent that the owner of said dealership allowed customers to have the bikes fitted with knobbly tires and an extra large “cheater” sprocket. McCormack liked this idea and production of the original Trail 50 started in 1961, with many versions between 50 and 250cc being released throughout the years. Recently, Honda rebooted the series with the new CC110 en CT125 Trail Cubs, which are a perfect blend of vintage looks, modern technology en everyday usability.
