The Honda CL50 was introduced in 1967 and was based on street bikes such as the CD50 and SS50. By incorporating a new mudguard, seat and exhaust system the Scrambler segment was born. These models were sold up until 1971, after which they were replaced by the more powerful CL70. They have mostly been sold in Japan and the US. In 1997, Honda applied the same formula to the CD50 Benly / Benly 50S and thus the CL50 was born! It was on sale in several southeast Asian markets en strikes a perfect balance between modern technology, retro looks and everyday usability.
