The Honda Dax mini moped first made its debut in Japan in 1969 and was intended to be a two person alternative to the even smaller Honda Monkey. The Honda Dax derives its name from the well-known dog breed, the Dachshund, which is just as small as a Yorkshire Terrier but renowned for its elongated body. It was designed specifically for the crowded streets and small dwellings of downtown Tokyo in the ‘60s. This didn’t detract from its popularity in both the United States and Europe where it remains a favorite among four stroke lovers to this day.

• Four stroke mopeds released in both 50cc and 70cc versions
• Available from 2.6 to 6 hp depending on the year it was released
• Lightweight (154 lbs)
• Small and agile standing 3 feet tall and 4.5 feet long
• Folding steering wheel which allows you to transport the Honda Dax in the trunk of your car
• 5 liters fuel tank
• 90-mile radius on a full tank
• Honda will be introducing a new model in 2023, the Honda Dax ST125

Who we are?

As the name might already suggest our story began in a barn. It started off as a hobby and a great passion for four stroke mopeds, but as you can see it got a little out of hand. Years later we have turned into a serious company and Honda four stroke specialist.

Every Saturday our doors open to the public and you are more than welcome to come and visit us in Utrecht to scour our collection. We look forward to hearing your stories and are always open to good conversation. Bring your own four stroke with you to show off to other lovers and take your time admiring theirs. And if you happen to come by around noon, you are more than welcome to join us for lunch.
