Tribute to the 1962 HONDA DREAM 50 <\/p>\n

Honda Dream 50<\/a><\/p>\n

In early 1962, Honda stunned the racing world by presenting its first 50cc-class factory machine. The now famous Honda RC110<\/a>. Shortly thereafter, in the same year, they produced a customer-specific alternative called the CR110 Cub Racing<\/a>,. As a direct result of the success of these two Honda dream models, they began domestic sales in June 1962.<\/p>\n

The cr110 with one cylinder has a high-tech gear driven camshaft, DOHC and four valves. This amazing little motorcycle has a compression ratio of 10:3.1. The speed increases to 13,500 rpm. <\/p>\n

The Dream 50 Racer<\/a> (WHICH OF COURSE IS ALSO REGULARLY FOR SALE AT THE FOURSTROKEBARN<\/a>) has the style of the 60s. The short racing wheel and an elongated striking fuel tank. The frame has a  reinforced single front downtube that is screwed to the engine crankcase. The top of the frame uses a reinforced double tube configuration that connects to a multi-tube box under the rider.<\/p>\n

Front and rear disc brakes provide incredible braking performance for such a small motorcycle. The engine is unique, specially designed and built for the Dream 50. A 50cc four-valve with double overhead camshafts.<\/p>\n

A commercial racing version, the AR02 or Dream 50R, was imported into the US in 2004. The Honda Dream 50 is completely legal on the road and is a nice tribute to those beautiful 60’s engines that Honda has put on the map. The Dream 50 is now a  collector’s item and is extremely difficult to find nowadays. <\/p>\n

This was a very small but important part of Honda  history. <\/p>\n\n
