A proper set of General Terms and Conditions is essential for both the owner of an online shop and the client. Here, you can review our General Terms and Conditions for the Online Shop. It is not only the government that creates rules to guarantee the security of your purchase. We, as the online shop owner, want to keep you informed about our terms and conditions as well. By agreeing to the General Terms and Conditions for the Online Shop, you, as the client, are making an agreement with us. However, before you agree to our General Terms and Conditions, we kindly request that you carefully read through these and familiarise yourself with the way that we operate. Article 1 – Online Shop
1.1. The Four-Stroke Barn is registered with the Chamber of Commerce (Kamer van Koophandel) and fulfils its obligations with regard to the tax and customs administration. Our Chamber of Commerce and VAT number can be found on our website. You can find our contact information there as well.
1.2. We never provide your personal data to third parties, unless we are required to by law. If we receive requests to provide your personal data to third parties, we will always request your permission in advance.
1.3. Since 5 June 2012, our website has been required to request prior permission from you for the use of cookies. You can read more about this in our Cookie Policy.
1.4. In suspected instances of abuse or fraud via the website, we will make a report with the police.
1.5. The online shop has a professional liability insurance plan, which covers potential, unjust liability that may be claimed by a client.
1.6. We always strive to provide you with excellent service. When you have doubts about the purchase of a product, our staff is always happy to speak with you.

 

Article 2 – Return Policy
2.1. You have 14 days to consider how you feel about the purchase of a certain product. If you decide that you are unsatisfied with the purchase during this period, then you can return the product to us without having to pay for the product itself. You will only pay the shipping costs for the product in question. If you have already paid, the amount that you paid will be returned to the bank account you made the payment from.
2.2. If the item is purchased as a gift or with a discount voucher, payment will be returned in the same format.
2.3. By returning part of an order that has been placed, the purchase amount may fall under the cut-off for free shipping. If this is the case, the original shipping costs will be deducted from the return amount.
2.4. Products that are returned to us must be packaged securely and be returned in the state that they were received.
2.5. Products that cannot be returned to us include products that were ordered as a special request.
2.6. Items purchased must be returned via parcel post, so that it can be indicated that the package has been shipped.

 

Article 3 – The agreement
3.1. The agreement between the online shop and the client becomes definitive when the client makes a payment via iDEAL or PayPal or when an invoice is sent to the client afterwards. After the 14-day return period has expired and payment has been received by the online shop, the client has become the owner of the product in question.
3.2. The agreement is made electronically by completing the required fields. By making a payment you are agreeing to the General Terms and Conditions.
3.3. As a client, you are required to fulfil your payment obligation to the online shop.
3.4. After you have made the purchase, you will receive a written confirmation of your purchase from us via email. It will show which product you purchased and what it cost.
3.5. We ship products after the amount owed by you has been transferred to our account. If we do not receive that amount within 7 days, we will assume that you are cancelling the purchase and will put the item up for sale again.
3.6. We strive to ship the product you ordered to you on the first work day after you have placed your order. If it is not possible to deliver the item within this time frame due to unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you of this in writing.
3.7. The delivery of products abroad can take longer than delivery within The Netherlands. The costs charged for shipping to a foreign address are shown when you initiate the purchase.
3.8. By paying the purchase price, you indicate your knowledge of and agreement with the General Terms and Conditions.

 

Article 4 – The price
4.1. The prices shown at our online shop always include VAT. The product shipping costs are shown when you add the product to your shopping cart.
4.2. The product price shown on the website cannot change during your purchase. You pay the amount shown for the product, which will also be confirmed by you, if you agree to the purchase electronically. During this process, the purchase price will be shown again.
4.3. If you purchase a product during a period with no applicable promotion, you are not eligible for a discount after the fact.

 

Article 5 – Complaints and warranty
5.1. We must first be notified of complaints about the delivery by telephone. We will contact the appropriate shipping company about the delivery of the product. Of course, our shipping partners do their best to deliver the product to you at home undamaged.
5.2. Complaints about the product itself must be made to us by telephone or email. We will always personally respond to these complaints. Please be as specific as possible when making your complaint. If it is within our capabilities, we will resolve the problem for you ourselves.
5.3. Complaints are typically handled within 14 days. Complaints are always handled by telephone or in writing.
5.4. In principle, there is no applicable warranty for used items, unless otherwise expressly agreed to in writing at the time of purchase.
