Browse around via Fourstrokebarn and bid on the major Japanese motorcycle, moped and car auctions

Through our own site full access to BDS, JBA and USS: the largest specialized motorcycle, moped and car auction houses in Japan. Searching for that one model, bidding yourself, checking prices of auctioned mopeds, it’s all possible. Every 5 / 6 weeks a container to the Netherlands: your motorcycle, moped or (mini) bike is faster and cheaper than ever in Europe!

See how it works!

Bid directly on the Japanese auction houses via Fourstrokebarn!

BDS, JBA and Aucnet are Japan’s largest motorcycle and moped auction houses. Despite the fact that there are more places in Japan where mopeds and other vehicles can be found, we – like all other well-known Honda (mini) bike importers in Europe – get the majority of our range from here.

Through our own site you can search for your favorite bike, place a bid and see what all mopeds that have been auctioned what they ‘went’ for, so that it is no longer a mystery.

You can search by brands, types, engine capacity, color and much more. Thousands of mopeds and motorcycles pass by every week, so there is plenty to see. You are no longer solely dependent on what all (mini) 4-stroke providers import and what price is attached to it. You get full transparency into auction prices and we aim to have a container coming this way every 5/6 so you only have to wait a few weeks for your bike instead of months. You can create an account for free and without obligation without our intervention and browse around until you weigh an ounce. Only if you want to make an offer do we have to be in touch to discuss the rules of the game.

Rules & Conditions

Please read them carefully before placing a bid and download and read our general and special terms and conditions

1. Register

After registration, free of charge and without obligation, you immediately have the opportunity to thoroughly search all auctions and see for what amounts mopeds have ‘gone’ at the auction.
Within a search dashboard, you can search for mopeds on many different variables. Thousands of mopeds and motorcycles are auctioned every week at various auctions. If the bike you’re looking for isn’t on the list, it’s because it’s not currently up for auction. Please try again for another auction or a different date.

2. Bidding on auc.fourstrokebarn.com

Via the system on auc.fourstrokebarn.com you can place a bid on a moped or motorcycle, which will appear in our mailbox. For technical reasons, this is currently only possible in Yens. No problem, because only in the next step will we ask you to make a final offer in Euros. So the offer in Yens doesn’t really apply, but it does provide us with an email, to which we reply for the rest of the process. So there is no obligation on your part at this time.

3. Confirm Bid

The offer we receive in the e-mail will be automatically answered with a message in which we ask you to fill in a digital confirmation form. Please fill out this form with the utmost care! We ask you for the date of the auction, the LOT number and the make/model. It would be a shame if you accidentally bid €5000 on a demolition C50.

Furthermore, by digitally filling in and signing this form, you agree to our terms and conditions that apply to bidding at auctions via Fourstrokebarn. You can download and read these terms and conditions by clicking here.

4. The maximum bid amount

When filling in the confirmation form, we ask you for the maximum bid amount in € / Euro’s.

This is the maximum amount you are willing to pay for the moped including all costs involved in transport, taxes, margins of our partners and ours, whereby the moped is picked up by yourself at our premises at Maarssenbroeksedijk 39 in Utrecht, the Netherlands*

The amount you bid is therefore the total maximum and there is no risk that you will have to pay more. If the moped is auctioned cheaper than your maximum bid amount, you will get this difference back and you will buy the moped cheaper. If the moped is auctioned for a higher amount, there is no purchase.

* Of course, we can also ship the moped as soon as it is with us in the Netherlands. This is outside the scope of the agreement and costs within the maximum bid amount. Feel free to call us before placing a bid to discuss any shipping costs.

5. Payment

Upon receipt of your completed confirmation form (at point 3), we will contact you by phone. We will only do this if your offer is somewhat realistic. If you are ‘on the low side’ we are happy to explain this, but we do not respond to nonsense bids, a waste of everyone’s time.

If, after contact, we are all happy to make your offer, you will receive a payment request with which the full payment of your maximum bid can be paid. After payment, your bid is final and you have to wait and see if you win the bike.

6. Bike not won, your money back immediately

If you don’t win the moped, we will immediately refund the payment of your maximum bid to you. Or you can leave it with us for the next attempt, your choice.

7. Won the bike?

That’s great! Then we will make sure that it is picked up, and that we quickly refund the difference in price if the bike turned out to be cheaper.

8. Delivery

All bikes are collected in our Warehouse in Japan. We aim to have a container delivered to the Netherlands every 5 / 6 weeks. Depending on when you win your bike, you can be lucky that it can just last and will be there 6 weeks later, otherwise you have to wait for the next one. Waiting months for your acquisition(s) is therefore not an option.

9. Papers

When your bike arrives at our shop in Utrecht, the Netherlands, all taxes and import duties have been paid by us and your moped is officially a European moped. Just to clarify: all these costs are already included in your maximum bid amount that we explain in point 4, so no extra costs.

To get your moped registered, we will draw up a purchase invoice for you and you will receive a document showing the Japanese origin of your bike and which can therefore serve as a declaration of origin.

Please note: on this declaration of origin we ‘blur’ all data on which company details of our partners can be seen and all prices / amounts. This document lists all the bikes that were in the container and no one has anything to do with prices of bikes for others.

Our experience shows that these documents can be used to register a bike in most European countries, but to be sure you have to research this yourself.

Good to know

So that you can bid successfully

Speed

Speed is important: in order to be able to bid on time, the confirmation form and deposit must be received by 15:00 the day before the auction. Only then will we be able to ensure that we can pass on the bids to our partners in Japan in good time.

Discount

Yes, we give discounts if there are regular successful bids on mopeds. Based on the frequency with which successful bids are made, we will make you a suitable proposal.
