Honda Specialist “Mr 4stroke of the season”; regular guest of ……. The Four Stroke Barn.

The honorary title that -Honda specialist- Klaas recently received “Mr. 4stroke of the season” is a reason for us to put it in the spotlight. Because we at the Viertaktschuur endorse the decision of theHandlebar of the Honda Viertaktvereniging Nederland more than complete. Klaas is not only a running knowledge base but also just a nice guy to tinker with or just a “sappie” to drink with.

My name is klaas and I have been working on the four-stroke mopeds for over 30 years and have a nice collection of mopeds for a long time. After a long period in which for me, due to other pursuits and crowds at work, it was a bit quieter on the moped front I picked up the thread again. I may have stopped tinkering, but of course I kept my collection at the time.

I’ve always read the moped and when I read and noticed that the parts were slowly but surely becoming scarce, the virus started to play up again , with the result that the collection increased from 5 to 11 mopeds. J

In the search for hard-to-get parts, I scoured the whole country for good parts and it didn’t take long until I came into contact with the four-stroke barn.

At first I missed a nice set of shock absorbers that had just been sold, but there was still plenty of other beautiful things to get. Soon I was part of the furniture and I often go to tinker on Saturdays and help with sorting the inventory. And the advantage is that you sit on top of the fire and therefore often see those hard-to-get parts pass by. When a batch of new parts comes in, there is often something beautiful for me and the expression “mine” has become a household name in the barn. The stock is now so large that on the 300 m2 mopeds and parts, there is certainly something for everyone

Lunch on Saturday is sometimes a bit late – due to the crowds it shoots in on time lunch – but never misses out because of the good catering. Conviviality has no time and you have to do something if you have nothing left to do at home, don’t you?
