The ZB50 is the latest Honda four-stroke mini-bike to be sold in the Netherlands. After Suzuki released the RB50 Gag or GSX-R50 in 1986, Honda countered with the Monkey R in 1987. This looked a lot like our ZB50, but it had a four-speed manual transmission, disc brakes, front and back foot supports, and a back step. In 1988, the Monkey RT was released with a more upright sitting posture. The ZB50 as we know it was only released in Europe, America, and Canada and featured a 3-speed semi-automatic and a drum brake at the front. All these mopeds, with model code AB22, are rare, because few were produced due to the high cost of manufacturing them.
